Acne Tips #4

Acne Tips #4

Once again I want to thank you for signing up for these emails. I hope you are already enjoying and using the tips you have already learned and hopefully you are finding some great information at my website as well. My goal with these tips is to help you get rid of your acne problem once and for all.

So far we have looked at three important acne tips to help you get rid of the acne problem. We have discussed only washing with the right soaps, eating a diet that is healthy, as well as exercising and making sure to shower after you finish. Each of these tips are extremely important, and when incorporated into your life, they should help you improve your skin.

Are you ready for your next tip? Here it is…

Tip #4 – Avoid Stress and Coffee

While you may not realize it, stress has an extremely strong relationship to acne as well as an impact that is profound. When the body is under stress, it produces hormonal steroids. One common one that you have probably heard of is cortisol. These hormonal steroids can actually target your skin and disrupt it causing acne breakouts. So, the more stress you are under, the more hormonal steroids are produced, which means you have even more problems with acne.

I know, it’s really easy to talk about getting rid of stress, but it’s definitely another thing to try to accomplish. However, there are things you can do to get rid of some of the stress in your life. First of all you need to recognize the amount of stress you are under and events and situations that could cause you even more stress.

When you are going through stressful times in your life you may need to cleanse your skin (with the right soaps of course) a bit more often. Instead of just cleansing once a day you may have to step it up to two times a day. Basically, you need to adjust your skin care regimen to adapt to the stress your body and skin is going through. Once your stress levels go down a bit, then go back to normal with your skincare regimen.

Now, about the coffee. More than likely you’ve never heard that you should avoid coffee when you are dealing with acne, but you really should. You see, recent studies are beginning to show that drinking coffee, whether it has caffeine or not, can stimulate and increase the amount of cortisol that is produced in your body. Basically, drinking coffee brings about the same results in your body that stress does, so it can be a contributing factor to your acne problem.

While I’m not saying to never drink another cup of coffee, you will definitely want to limit how much you are drinking. Also, if you are dealing with very high stress levels, then you will want to reduce the amount of coffee you are drinking so your body doesn’t produce cortisol like crazy and cause more acne problems for you.
