Quick Acne Remedy

More than likely you have dealt with a sudden acne breakout right before a big event. Somehow it always seems that that breakout just waits until you want to look great, and then the night before the big event, suddenly you get a pimple. This can be so frustrating when you want to make sure that you look your best for that big date, the prom, or a wedding. Well, thankfully there are a few ideas that will work as a quick acne remedy when you need to get rid of acne fast. So, here are a few quick remedies that you may want to try out if you need a quick fix.

Remedy #1 - Use Ice - One great idea to try if you need to reduce the way a pimple looks quickly is to use some ice. Although it sounds simple, an ice cube or an ice pack can really help you out. Since most pimples are swollen and red, the ice can help to shrink the pimple and to get rid of the redness that makes it so visible as well. It also will get rid of some of the inflammation. Take the ice and apply it for about 2-3 minutes. Do this every half hour and you should see a bit of improvement.

Remedy #2 - Wash Gently - Another idea to try if you need a remedy for acne is to wash your face very gently. Make sure you do this several time during a day. Just make sure that you don’t scrub at the breakout or you are going to make it worse. So, gently wash the problem area to try to get it to go away quickly.

Remedy #3 - Use a Wet Tea Bag - If you need a quick acne remedy, another great idea to try is a wet tea bag. If you have a tea bag around, you should get it nice and wet. Then take the tea bag and hold it on the problem area for about 6 minutes or so. It often helps to get rid of the redness and swelling in the area.

Remedy #4 - The Toothpaste Remedy - More than likely you have heard of using toothpaste to get rid of a pimple, but you may have thought it wouldn’t work. Well, if you’re in a quick fix, it can really work for you. The best time to use it is at bedtime. Simply apply some white toothpaste to the pimple and allow it to stay on all night long. It helps to dry the pimple and get rid of the redness in the area too.

Remedy #5 - Crushed Aspirin - Last of all, when you are looking for a quick acne remedy, you’ll often find that a crushed aspirin can do the job for you. You see, the aspirin actually contains salicylic acid in it, which is a great ingredient for acne treatment. Simple crush up two aspirin and then mix it with a small amount of cool water. It should make a nice paste. Apply the paste to the pimples and let them dry overnight. In the morning you should gently wash off the paste. Usually you’ll find that the pimples are much less noticeable.
