Skin Type And Your Acne Medication

We are all different people, and that includes our skin. We all have different skin types. Some of us have problems with dry skin, while others have problems with oily skin. You need to find the proper acne medication for your skin type. Some medications can dry out your skin while others will make it oily. You need to know what type does what.

The Main Different Skin Types –

Oily Skin:

Oily skin usually means that you have had problems with acne when you were an adolescent. Most people with oily skin also have oily, shiny hair. If you do have oily skin you might have problem with your makeup, such as your foundation or other makeup applied wearing off quickly. Many people with oily skin also get tan really easily. You might also notice an oily film on your skin, especially when you first wake up.

Dry Skin:

Dry skin can also coincide with dry hair. You might get rashes on your skin easily, and it may itch often. You might also notice a tight or rough feeling with your skin, especially on your hands and after taking a shower. If you have dry skin you most likely did not have any problems with acne while you were an adolescent.

Complex Dry Skin:

Complex dry skin is defined as having a lot of freckles, brown spots, red colored patches, and most people with complex dry skin are over the age of 35. You might also notice that your skin is yellowish, pale, or dull. People with complex dry skin usually have sagging skin around the jawline, as well as lines around your forehead and eyes.

Normal Skin:

Normal skin is usually with people who have an even complexion. There are usually no noticeable pores with no problems with acne after adolescence. If you have normal skin you probably do not worry about trying out any new skin care products because you don’t usually break out or have any problems with them at all. You might also notice that your hair is just fine in between shampoos.

Acne Troubled Skin:

If you have acne troubled skin you probably already know, because you break out easily especially with any new skin care products. You probably stick to one product that doesn’t have a lot of ingredients in it so it doesn’t break out. You have probably had pretty severe acne when you were an adolescent. You might have problems with dandruff in your hair, and your parents may have problems with acne, too.

Once you know your skin type you can find the proper acne medication to treat your skin on a daily basis. There are plenty of products to choose from for your specific skin type, but you might have to try out a few before you find just the right one for you.
